The "Oliotini": New olive oil cocktail unveiled at Olive Oil Conference

Olive oil makes everything better, including your cocktails. At the opening reception for the NAOOA's 4th Annual Olive Oil Conference, the association's executive director, Joseph R. Profaci, introduced a cocktail he created just for the event. Impress your friends with this super-unique olive oil cocktail.

Ingredients

3 oz orange flavored vodka
0.5 oz Montenegro brand amaro
Splash orange bitters
Extra virgin olive oil (preferably robust)
Rosemary salt (optional)

Instructions

Combine the first three ingredients and shake with ice.
Salt-rim a martini glass with rosemary salt
Pour drink into glass, served "up," with a pitted Kalamata olive (in brine), and finish with a drizzle of EVOO. Use enough oil to cover most of the top with droplets.
